MAXIMUM ATTITUDE
Neo Sports Café has evolved. Starting with the CB1000R;
completely restyled, from the sleek headlight, to the newly
redesigned aluminium subframe, with an individual and aggressive
character. And for an even more hand-crafted look, the CB1000R Black Edition is
the epitome of style through its individual design.
Alongside the standard CB1000R, the Black Edition is
exactly that: accessorised with fly screen, pillion seat cover and quick
shifter it is as blacked-out as a motorcycle can be, with just the merest hint
of aluminium on show. The engine gets revised PGM-FI settings and
EURO5 compliance.
The Black Edition
While the new CB1000R is a motorcycle hewn into
purposeful beauty, Honda’s engineers chose to go several steps further with the
new Black Edition.
With a hand-built, custom look, the Black Edition starts out
on the same manufacturing line as the standard CB1000R, then moves into moodier
aesthetic territory with some additional desirable accessories.
Apart from a few machined aluminium details on the wheel
spokes, swingarm plates, engine covers and handlebar clamps – everything
on show is black: the headlight bezel, fly-screen, fork stanchions, radiator
shrouds, and airbox covers (with an anodised finish), exhaust and muffler.
Deep Graphite Black paint adorns the fuel tank and pillion
seat cover.
A quickshifter, too is standard-fit. A machined ‘CB’ logo
adds a finishing touch,
Jet-black exhaust
Tuned for high performance, and sound, the 4-2-1 exhaust
system also wears a jet-black coating. It couldn’t be anything else.
Three-level quick shifter
The adjustable quick shifter allows instant, full-throttle,
clutch-less upshifts and also aids downshifts. The sensitivity of shifting
load can be adjusted between soft, medium and hard.
It’s all about detail
The engineer's work on the aluminium upper handlebar clamp
matches the intricate machining on wheels, engine and swingarm pivot plates.
Machined highlights
Both black front and rear cast aluminium wheels feature
machined spoke highlights for a hand-crafted, full-custom look.
All-black front suspension
High-quality, adjustable Showa SFF-BP USD forks are
identical to the CB1000R’s except for one important aspect: every single detail
is finished in black.
Deep finish
While the standard CB1000R’s curvaceous aluminium subframe
wears a natural finish, the Black Edition’s, of course, is black, along with
dark-anodised radiator shrouds and airbox covers.
Fly screen
A perfect fit above the headlight bezel, the anodised black
finish of the instrument fly screen adds style and practicality with some wind
deflection.
Detachable seat cowl
Further underlining the compact minimalism of the CB1000R
Black Edition, the Graphite Black pillion seat cowl slots into place when
riding solo.
5-inch TFT screen with Honda Smartphone Voice Control
system
For easy management of navigation, calls, messages and music
while you’re riding ( available with Android™ devices only).
LEAN AND MEAN
The essence of motorcycling.
Now even more stylish and aggressively muscular, just a
quick glance and you catch the burnished metal finishes that reflect the
tradition of a hard-charging Café Racer.
Stripped back to bare essentials, this roadster is built for
the pure pleasure of riding. The feeling, sensation and sound draw you in to a
world of exhilarating, dynamic forward motion. And, after a ride, endless
engineering details surrounding that four-cylinder engine build into a unique
motorcycle form, holding your attention for hours.
The CB1000R Black Edition goes further. Much further. It has
been designed, not by bright light but in shadow, crafted for the purest
thrill. And defined by darkness. Look at it. Your eyes have to adjust, at first
glance; apart from a few machined aluminium details, everything on show is deep
black. Or blacker still. Loaded with choice accessories, it rides under any
radar and stands way, way out as it does.
