CONQUER THE URBAN. AND BEYOND
The NC750X is designed to help you conquer the urban
landscape, and take you wherever your wanderlust leads. Getup close to the
motorcycle that really can do it all.
ONE MOTORCYCLE. FOR EVERYTHING
Owners love the NC750X. They love its reliability and safety
features. The high build quality, durable styling, do-it-all comfort and
versatility makes this bike perfect for the weekday commute, as well as weekend
fun. Its innovative features – like built-in storage capacity – win points, as
does a characterful twin-cylinder engine that provides considerable torque with
impressive fuel efficiency. And Honda’s Dual Clutch Transmission, with its
choice of Automatic or Manual shifting modes, is a favourite option. Yes, there
are many reasons to love the NC750X. And we’ve made it even better.
CLEVER INDIVIDUAL
Ride smart, wherever you’re heading.
Sharper, more compact bodywork marks out the individuality
of the new NC750X. But it’s even more comfortable, thanks to its lower seat
height, as well as a redesigned protective screen. There’s extra storage space,
where the fuel tank would be, which is of the features that
really separates
the NC750X from a standard motorcycle. Increased power for the engine – and a
full 6 kg weight loss – generates faster acceleration, while four riding modes
allow you to tailor overall performance to suit conditions.
For complete control, the Honda Selectable Torque Control
(HSTC) levels have been expanded, with refined traction management, and there’s
still the choice of a manual, six-speed transmission (now with slipper clutch)
or unique, six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. And, for improved safety, the
Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) system operates the rear hazards under hard braking
conditions.
Sharper styling and LED lighting
The sharply-styled front fairing offers upper-body wind
protection, enhanced by there-shaped screen. A redesigned LED headlight
features a unique running-light signature and is matched with a new LED
taillight and indicators.
Intuitive control, lower seat height and more storage
room
An LCD dash offers intuitive engagement with the various
riding modes, controlled through the left-hand switchgear. At 800 mm, the seat
height is 30 mm lower and the riding position is comfortable, upright and relaxed
with great visibility. The storage area increases in volume 1 L to 23 L and,
thanks to a reworking of its internal shape, will now hold an adventure-style
full-face helmet.
More powerful, liquid-cooled, SOHC 8-valve parallel
twin-cylinder engine with HSTC
Thanks to revised cam timing – carefully balanced between
the two cylinders – we’ve injected an extra 2 kW peak power, up to 43.1 kW.
There’s also an extra 600 rpm to use, with a redline now set at 7,000rpm. And
Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) delivers refined, 3-level management of
rear tyre grip.
Throttle by Wire (TBW) control with 4 riding modes
TBW adds the benefit of pre-set riding modes – STANDARD,
SPORT and RAIN – to alter engine power and engine braking character (and HSTC
intervention level) to suit the conditions you’re riding. Additionally, the
USER mode allows custom tailoring of engine power and braking, as well as HSTC
level – to get them just where you want them.
Six-speed manual gearbox or Dual Clutch Transmission
(DCT)
The manual gearbox is now managed via a slipper clutch,
which is 20% lighter at the lever and manages the rear wheel under rapid
downshifting and hard braking. On both manual and DCT versions, for faster
around-town acceleration, gears 1-3use shorter ratios while gears 4-6 have
taller ratios. It’s a relaxed ride out on the highway – at 60 km/h the engine
is turning at just 2,500 rpm.
Lighter and even easier to handle
Through an extensive redesign of the tubular steel
diamond-style frame (and various other detail improvements) we’ve saved a full
6 kg weight. Which, with its low centre of gravity from the forward-inclined
engine, makes the NC750X even easier to handle. And that’s in all situations,
from navigating busy city streets, changing lanes on the highway or flicking
through turns out in the country side.
Compliant suspension and strong, smooth braking
The 41 mm Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) front forks provide
supple bump absorption, large or small, thanks to optimised compression and rebound
damping; the rear Pro-Link monoshock features spring preload adjustment.
Powerful, smooth braking is at your control thanks to a twin-piston caliper
and 320 mm wavy disc up front, matched to a rear single-piston caliper, 240 mm disc
and two-channel ABS.
