JOB TITLE: TRAINEE MOTORCYCLE SALES EXECUTIVE HONDA (MANCHESTER)

RESPONSIBLE TO: STORE MANAGER

DUTIES

The successful applicant is expected to be a good communicator and have a willingness to learn. A polite and helpful manner together with a keen interest in motorcycles is essential. Joining the Youles Sales Team as our trainee you will be taught by our experienced sales professionals. They will coach and mentor you enabling you to maximize the opportunity that business can offer. Whilst previous sales experience in the motor trade is not required some form of experience at dealing with the general public would definitely be an advantage. This position would ideally suit someone that has a retail or hospitality background. This position could suit someone that wants a totally different direction and change in career. Experience from a whole host of industries would be beneficial.

You will very quickly integrate into the sales team selling Honda Motorcycles including Gold Wing and late used machines. We will support and coach you by supplying a large amount of face to face and online training in both products and services offered by Youles Motorcycles and Honda. Eventually, you will take qualifications in vehicle finance and also attend manufacturer specific training. You will be required to project the company’s values on customer service and above all be honest and extremely self-motivated. Our reviews at all our stores are a reflection of how we treat and value both customers and other members of our team across the Youles group of dealerships.

Your job location will be at our Manchester Dream Dealership located at 130 Fairy Lane M8 8YD. Weekend work will be required - this is on a rotating system. Some weekends you will work Saturday only others Sunday. One weekend in four Saturday and Sunday. Hours of business are weekdays 9.30hrs to 18.00hrs, Saturdays 8.30hrs to 17.00hrs and Sundays 10.45hrs to 16.00hrs. Holiday entitlement will be 20 days plus bank holidays. Extra days are available for taking time off in winter and long service

Your remuneration will be a basic salary of £18000 plus commission on sales. You would expect to have an OTE of £35000 in your first year. Your basic salary and will be reviewed annually. With the right attitude and ability, you should be comfortably earning £40000 by the end of your second year. A generous staff purchase scheme exists that enables parts clothing and new motorcycles to be purchased at trade or below prices. The company also contributes to a stakeholder pension scheme with extra payments for long service. After five years with the company you will have the opportunity to enrol in our private medical insurance scheme.
